  • 99% Isopropyl Alcohol - 1 each - 16 oz.

When fighting infection, we highly recommend Isopropyl.

Our 16 ounce bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean minor cuts, scrapes, and burns while it helps reduce the risk of infection.

Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol is a powerful disinfectant; IPA is a very commonly used disinfectant within pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and clean rooms. It is even used in the purification of electronics and medical device manufacture. The properties within isopropyl alcohol act are known as antimicrobial which means isopropyl alcohol kills microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, germs) or stops their growth – such as the spread of germs. It kills 99.99% of germs within about 10-30 seconds, making it the perfect sterilization tool.

99% alcohol / Isoporopanol is useful in computer and electronics manufacturing industries that prefer immediate evaporation of cleaning agents for their work. During the design work for chips and circuit boards and integrated circuits, there needs to be a quick clean up if something is spilled and the work area needs to be devoid of any contaminants or obstructions as soon as possible; 99% IPA ensures that happens.

Wondering where to buy 99% isopropyl alcohol? It is hard to find - while some stores will carry 90%, 91%, or 97% alcohol, the 99% rubbing alcohol is difficult to come by, which is why we offer it by the individual bottle, bulk, case quantity and wholesale direct here!

While we offer our isopropyl alcohol (both 70% and 99% for first aid and antiseptic uses, many of our customer purchase to use as a Solvent.

Rubbing alcohol can also be used to dissolve many "non-polar compounds" and what is nice is that it evaporates quickly, and leaves nearly zero oil traces. As solvents go, isopropyl alcohol is relatively non-toxic. Many businesses use our 99% alcohol as a cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils, inks and removing sticky residue such as that left after removing labels.

    Treatment for Cuts and Abrasions

  • Stay Protected from Infection!

Prevent and treat minor skin infections caused by small cuts, scrapes, or burns

Keep Triple Antibiotic on hand when you are having fun on the slopes (or anywhere that you may have need). Triple Antibiotic is for use on the skin. Here we will give you some tips on how to use Triple Antibiotic Ointment.

Clean and dry the affected skin area. If you use the ointment, make sure you wash your hands first. After washing your hands, apply a little bit of Triple Antibiotic (not much more than can fit on your fingertip) on your skin and rub in gently. Try to apply 1 to 3 times a day. Be sure to wash your hands after applying the Triple Antibiotic.

Don't use a large amount of this medication or use Triple Antibiotic Ointments more often than directed. The injury won't heal faster, but the risk of side effects can possibly be increased if you use too much. Do not use Triple Antibiotic for longer than 1 week, OR use Triple Antibiotic on irritated skin in a child's diaper area, unless you talk to your doctor about it first. If you do apply the medication to a diaper area, don't use tight-fitting diapers.

Try your best to prevent getting Triple Antibiotic in your eyes or inside your nose or mouth. If you accidentally do, wipe off the medication and rinse thoroughly with water. See our Eye Wash / Eye Safety products here.

    Treatment for Cuts and Abrasions

  • Treatment for Cuts and Abrasions

Image of woman treating wound with dressingWhen treating for minor cuts and scrapes, the most important goal is to prevent infection. For more severe wounds, call 9-1-1 or EMS, or transport the casualty to the nearest hospital if safe to do so.

    Treatment

    • Immediately clean the wound area thoroughly with soap and water. Clear, cool running water works best to flush debris and dirt from the injury site. Remove any embedded materials such as dirt from the wound.
    • If available, Responder should use gloves to protect from Bloodborne Pathogens.
    • With superficial cuts or abrasions, apply a first aid balm such as a triple antibiotic ointment and cover with a sterile bandage.
    • If the wound is bleeding, apply pressure with a sterile dressing to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding will not stop, call 9-1-1, activate EMS, or transport the casualty to the nearest hospital.
