Why the “H” shape? Standard adhesive bandages do not stick well when a cut or scrape is at the knuckle – flexing and bending a digit bunches, restricting movement and causing the dressing of the bandage to pull away from the wound. Our Latex Free Hi-Vis Blue Foam Metal Detectable adhesive knuckle bandages are designed with four adhesive strips allow the bandage to twist and flex while still maintaining  grip / to stay adhered, and to allow digital dexterity and function. Blue bandages are required in many foodservice and pharmaceutical processes, and recommended for other uses where contamination prevention is important. The bright blue foam material will make locating lost bandages visually easy, while they are also metal detectable for discovery in critical processes. Foam bandage offer the added benefit of being suitable for application to infected wounds.

Knuckle bandages are also great for elbow, knee, and heel wounds (and blisters) – even chin wounds! Since a knuckle bandage is both flexible and since it holds from four directions with the unique “H” shape, a knuckle bandage stays put when and elbow or knee joint is moved. For heel injuries, or to prevent blisters, knuckle bandages cover enough of the heel and wraps the “H” strips around the sides of the foot so as not to become displaced by rubbing on the shoe. Because all four limbs of the “H” shape can move and stretch independently, joint have greater freedom of motion, yet the bandage will not lift off or gape as a standard rectangular shape bandage will.
